Where does the time go indeed....I realize that I havent posted on this blog for quite some time. However now is as good of a time as any to continue where I left off. However a lot has changed since I last posted. I am now living in Los Angeles and my Sommelier Story is still going strong but looks very different from 4 years ago. I'm sure it will look very different 4 years from now. Over the last few years I have had the opportunity to open a brand new restaurant and create a cocktail menu and wine list. This was an awesome expierence for me and I had the chance to create some awesome drinks. I feel any great somm should be a damn good bartender as well.
This is a Drink I came up with a couple months back. Great for the summer time. It is 2 parts Cognac, 1 part dark myers rum, muddled lemon, lime, and oarnge, simple syrup and bitters. The drink is strong but comes out surprisingly smooth and refreshing. If you have two... your feeling it.
